In February 2010 Insqribe launched Australias first Augmented Reality iPhone app, Housefinder, in conjunction with St.George Bank.

Housefinder shows you all the houses currently for sale through the camera view of your iPhone providing you with all the information you need at a glance and in context to what you are looking at.

As well as this Housefinder provides you with details property Market information such as recent sales prices and suburb median to ensure you’re paying the right price. All this for FREE!

Housefinder was an idea hatched by us, Insqribe, and our awesome Solution Partner Original Digital. Real estate is an obvious subject for Augmented Reality apps and what better way to show off our real time mobile platform than with a great user experience and enterprise web service integration.

St.George Bank Managing Director, Southern NSW and ACT, Andrew Moore, had this to say, “Housefinder is an innovative new mobile tool that arms homebuyers and renters with vital property information, right at their fingertips, for free,”

Pizza Hut chose Insqribe’s Mobile Augmented Reality Platform

October 27, 2011 by admin

Pizza Hut Australia launched a new iPhone application to the local market on Monday 8 March. Included in the much anticipated application is a GPS Store Locator, an Augmented Reality mobile platform licensed from Australian mobile company Insqribe together with their service partner Dimension Four.

See how it works:

Augmented Reality uses the iPhone camera, GPS and compass, to display annotations, in situ, on top of the real-world view. In the case of the Pizza Hut application consumers can choose to order a pizza for pick-up and then use the real world Augmented Reality view in order to select the store they would like to pick the pizza up from. Moving the phone around will show all Pizza Hut stores in the area in their actual physical location, as well as the distance to the store. Holding the iPhone flat will bring up a map with all surrounding Pizza Hut stores allowing the user to get directions to the store.

The Augmented Reality technology is only available on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

Here is what Pizza Hut Australia Marketing Director, Valerie Kubizniak, said about Insqribes technology:

“Someone looking for a Pizza Hut outlet simply has to hold up their iPhone 3Gs, the camera opens and the screen shows not only what is in front of the user, but small tabs highlighting the direction and distance of Pizza Hut locations nearby. Point north, south east or west and the locations change before your eyes – everyone will love this feature and it’s so much fun to use.“

“We loved what Pizza Hut wanted to do with their iPhone app.  We were impressed with the fact that our platform is being used to deliver real value to consumers on the go.  The two are a perfect fit.“ said Danny Housseas, Insqribe Director and Co-Founder.

Insqribe currently license out the mobile engine technology to mobile app developers, brands and marketing agencies. The Insqribe platform allows complete real-time control of the Points of Interest displayed in the engine, as well as complete tracking and analytics.

Insqribe and SET Japan in QR Code Strategic Partnership

October 27, 2011 by admin

SET Japan, creators of the world famous Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and more recently WIRED designer QR Codes joined forces with Insqribe to set a new benchmark in QR Code delivery and service.  What this means for our clients is that we now have the ability to tightly integrate QR Codes into the brand or agencies’ creative efforts, whilst still tracking and measuring consumer behaviour.  We think that is pretty cool!

Greg from SET was out in Australia on business.  Being huge fans of SET’s work we called him and met at a local cafe. We immediately struck a chord with him as we took him through Insqribe’s real-time marketing platform and he with us demonstrated SET’s unparalleled ability to morph QR Codes in new and exciting ways.  Right then and there we decided that we should work together and have now come to a formal Strategic Partnership.  Look out for more from this partnership in the coming months!
